Everybody said now is easy to make pau at home. Just buy ready mix "pau" flour and we can make our own. We can put in any filling we want. Because I am doing the pau at night when my baby is sleeping.I decided to make a simple peanut filling. I bought a packed of ready to eat peanut and blend it.
I dont know if I have missed out any step or left the dough to prove too long - i left it more than 30 minutes, because my baby wake up. The "pau" slunk down when I open up the wok cover. On top of the slunk "pau", my filling is too much and very salty too.
Its a failure....but my loving daddy and mummy said the pau texture is good...only the filling is too much and salty. Ended up, we throw away part of the filling and finish the pau.
I will try again and this time may be put in the "kaya" instead and hopefuly the pau can bloom like a full moon.
